Permit rules
QuotaPermits are required year-round for all private and commercial use. April 1 - September 30 private use is limited to 5 permits or 75 people per day (whichever occurs first); October 1 - March 31 use is limited to 7 permits or 150 people per day. Day trip or overnight (one night maximum) within the canyon.
GroupMaximum 25 people per permit. One person may hold up to three permits at one time.
Fees$10 per person per trip permit fee plus a $6.00 non-refundable reservation fee. Permit fees are non-refundable.
TransferPermits are non-transferable by date. An alternate trip leader must be designated at reservation and cannot be added or changed after the reservation is made.
SafetyClass III-IV whitewater including Skull and Funnel Falls. Pets are prohibited. Campsites are assigned by the ranger prior to launch.
