Permit rules
QuotaA summit pass is required above 10,000 feet and a free wilderness permit is required year-round; there is currently no quota or advance reservation system.
GroupStandard wilderness group size limits apply.
Fees$25 summit pass (valid up to 3 days) or $30 annual pass; under 16 free.
TransferPasses are issued per climber.
SafetyAvalanches, rockfall, altitude, and spring storms are the main hazards; most climbs happen April through July.
