QuotaSunrise reservations are required for non-commercial vehicles entering the summit district from 3:00am to 7:00am.
GroupOne reservation covers one private vehicle.
Fees$1 vehicle reservation fee; park entrance fee is separate.
TransferReservation holder must present reservation and photo ID at the entrance station.
SafetyHigh elevation, cold temperatures, darkness, and weather can affect sunrise viewing and travel.

Haleakalā National Park (Wilderness Tent Permit)
Reservable · Wilderness Tent Sites are open year round. Reservations are required through recreation.gov prior to arrival. Camping Use Fee: $20 per night with a 3 night maximum over a 30-day period. Entrance Fee: Haleakala charges an entrance fee (separate from the camping use fee). You may pay the fee upon arrival at the entrance station or automated fee machine or purchase in advance. The park also honors valid America the Beautiful-the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands passes (also known as an interagency pass, e.g., Senior, 4th Grade, Military, etc.). Sign in to your Recreation.gov Account or the mobile app to make any changes or cancellations to your reservation. Please remember that campsites are in high-demand. Make changes as far in advance as possible. If you decide not to make the trip, please cancel so that others may use the campsites.
